Of A Promise Remembered
Of A Promise Remembered
By Christopher Snyder
My health is failing, my days are numbered
My mind goes back, to a promise remembered
It won’t be long, I’m closer then ever
And one day up there, we’ll be back together
A Single Thread
By Christopher Snyder
A single thread
All bound up with red
The first string is loose
Like an unfilled noose
The 2nd pulled tight
Like a corset pulled right
The 3rd one constricted
All tangled and twisted
The thread never stopped
But her arm was chopped off
As she wailed no more
She collapsed on the floor
Here They Lie
By Christopher Snyder
Here she lies in her restless slumber
Washed away by rain and thunder
Her watery grave still far below
Lost to the depths, the deep unknown
The river dried up and they found foul play
But the husband gave in and decided to pay
They said her tomb was lost but it was there, they found
And her spirit still haunts this hallowed ground
